Using Facebook Advertising to Sell My eCourse

About a month ago, I finished my first online course on Internet Marketing – and I’m super excited.  The course discusses 7 different strategies that I’ve successfully used on both Blind Surprise and Cool Things Addict to drive hundreds of thousands of visitors, without any SEO skills.  The course goes into detail on how to run a successful email marketing campaign, affiliate marketing, social media marketing, and others.

Right as I launched the course, I received over 1,000 student sign-ups, most for free, but also hundreds of paying customers.  For the most part, though, all these students came from quick forum posting I did on various Internet Marketing forums, as well as reddit.  Of the 1,000+ students, most signed up in the first 48 hours after launching the course.

So now, I need to figure out how to grow my student base.  I’m focusing on a mix between Facebook marketing and email marketing.  I put together a full sales funnel that is based on giving potential students a bit of free content, and then closing them with a sales pitch – and if that doesn’t work, they start to receive emails as part of the sales funnel.  I’m tweaking, testing, and developing this method of selling the course.  I will keep you posted on my success and failures, and once I’ve figured out how to make this a profitable method of selling digital goods, I’ll put together a second course focused specifically on this topic.

For now, feel free to check out the initial email capture page I put together as the first step of the sales funnel, and if you enter your email, you’ll start receiving my automated messages as well, so you can get a feel for what I’m working on.
